Thou are That
You are universal consciousness
❤
The wisdom of the yogic tradition is that of innate wholeness and goodness of the self.
You are whole and complete. You are worthy. You are love consciousness itself.
❤
The tradition teaches us that we are not something broken that needs fixing. Through inquiry (Vichārana ) we come to know ourselves as the luminous beings that we are. Yoga is that practice of discovery and awakening to our innate wholeness and goodness.
❤
Much of the yoga we come across here in the west is centered around fitness or postures alone (āsanas).
❤
Our Ancestral wisdom traditions teach us that yoga is a deep practice with many parts, and postures is just one aspect of a complete yogic discipline.
❤
Classes courses and mentoring will include the 8 limbs of yoga. I strive to include some of the depth of what yoga encompasses:
❤
I have been blessed to be a teacher of yoga and meditation since 2007. I'm trained in classical hatha yoga through the Sivananda Lineage.
❤
I am a South Asian woman born in India, raised in Canada and living in the southern United States.
I am fortunate to be connected to a family lineage of wisdom streamed down from my elders and ancestors. I rely on my ancestral traditions heavily to guide my classes, workshops, energy treatments and mentorship.
❤
I believe strongly that yoga is for EVERYONE - all abilities, all genders, ages, colors, income levels. The spaces we work in are safe and inclusive.
❤
I am deeply honored to help folks come into wholeness, healing and health by learning the wisdom of yoga.
